The estate was acquired by the Rab family 20 years ago, in a nearly dilapidated condition. Over the years, my father has carefully and lovingly transformed and beautified it, keeping the architectural features of the landscape in mind. The house was probably last built in the village in 1927. During the collectivization period, it may have served as the center for the Livestock Branch of the Agricultural Cooperative, and later, sheep breeding was practiced here.

the livestock breeding sector of the Producers' Cooperative, and later sheep breeding was practiced here.

The idea of the Vitrum Estate was born in 2020, the day after my wedding, which we held here. The closeness to nature, the idyllic environment, and the opportunity to slow down provided an unforgettable experience not only for us but also for our guests. The feedback from the wedding party reinforced our belief that we should share this experience with others.

We hope that the Vitrum Estate will offer exactly what you are looking for: a place where the harmony of uniqueness, closeness to nature, and timelessness comes together.

The values of Kisújbánya

The history of the glassworks

Angster organ

Kisújbánya is a village with a unique history, with roots dating back to the mid-18th century. Philipp Gasteiger, a master of glassmaking, established his glassworks here, and based on a contract signed with the Bishopric of Pécs in 1761, the Kisújbánya Glassworks began operations, flourishing from 1762 to 1784.

Kisújbánya still preserves its traditional Swabian village character, offering a romantic time travel experience to visitors. The village chapel was built in 1794 in honor of St. Martin. An interesting feature is that it houses an Angster organ, made in 1914, which was restored in 2010.

The hidden village

The secluded village, surrounded by forest, is far from the noise of the cities, offering perfect tranquility and intimacy for those who visit. There is no signal, only the endless forest. Sitting on the terrace, we watch as the setting sun dips behind the mountain ridge, and then slowly, the fog rolls down into the valley.
